It was my friend's son who introduced me to these unique knives. He was very excited to purchase one for his Dad as a Fathers day gift. He ordered the Serbian Chefs knife from Coolina. I know that his Dad enjoys cooking and thought this was a terrific idea.

Upon looking into the knife collection, I found rave reviews on these hand-forged steel knives. I would hold my judgment until I could try the knife myself and, ask my esteemed fellow cook his opinion.

 Upon my next visit, I came to find out that my friend was extremely happy with his Serbian Chefs knife.  He offered to let me try it. Upon revealing this knife from its cover, I couldn’t help but to admire how rustic and artisanal it was. Could something this beautiful and almost primal deliver a sharp, well-balanced cut? Could it cut vegetables and butcher as well?  Can it be used used to cut wood if need be when camping? The conclusion, yes, yes, yes!! Would it to cost me a fortune? A definitive no! This knife retails for about eighty-nine dollars. The Serbian knife is an all-purpose knife, although the company offers other types of knives, I think this is a great place to start.

I recommend this a gift item for anyone that cooks. I especially like this for the “hard to shop for men “ who have some culinary skills, camp, or enjoy barbequing. The knives have a masculine look, but that didn’t stop me from buying one!
